I haven't said much about my boyfriend in this blog aside from mentioning him briefly, but today I am breaking trend and doing so. I am just so darn proud of him, and proud that he is a major part of my life. He works helping injured soldiers on a daily basis, and he consistently goes above and beyond to make people feel as comfortable and cared for as possible. His desire to help comes through in every aspect of his life, and he does so in a way that has just the right amount of kick-butt, don't-you-dare-feel-sorry-for-yourself edge. He has been down himself, and it makes him uniquely qualified to help these individuals, as well as his friends and loved ones in everyday life. He is pictured here (the one on the right) receiving a commendation for helping one such person.
He is an immense support to me, a hugely positive influence in my daughter's life, and the guy that makes my days complete with a big bear-hug. I cannot imagine my life without him!
